name is Tony Johansen. I am an artist. I like art and science and
poetry and books and history and technology and lots more besides.
Every day I am excited by the marvelous things I see in this wonderful
world and beyond. I love the Internet for giving me access to so much.
I am like a sponge for wondrous things or things that make me wonder. This site is really just a
scrapbook. Being on the web, however, means being able to share the

    China attempted to control the news of dissent in Tibet recently by trying to prevent uploading of video content from the troubled “province”. In years past the communist authorities have been used to doing as they liked as if behind closed doors. They thought they could control information in the lead up to the Olympic Games as Hitler and the Nazi party tried to do in 1936. In 2008, however it is more difficult to hide the truth and by trying to do so they have focussed World attention on the situation. While the Chinese authorities were saying that the protests were small acts of racial hatred by small numbers of disgruntled citizens encouraged by the “terrorist” Dalai Lama the world could see where the injustices truly lay.
