name is Tony Johansen. I am an artist. I like art and science and
poetry and books and history and technology and lots more besides.
Every day I am excited by the marvelous things I see in this wonderful
world and beyond. I love the Internet for giving me access to so much.
I am like a sponge for wondrous things or things that make me wonder. This site is really just a
scrapbook. Being on the web, however, means being able to share the
treasures I find. That's me, Tony Johansen, artist who likes to share
my excitement of being alive.

    There was a time when most people saw the computer as an office tool best suited to spreadsheets and homework assignments. During the last 6 years, however more and more people have started seeing it as a lifestyle device with music delivered from computer prorgams directly to iPod or other MP3 player or to home stereo systems. Obtaining music via downloads from the Internet is a natural part of that process. Just as the digital camera combined with the computer has come to dominate photography and caused economic upheaval in the camera and film businesses, so too digital music downloads are causing massive change in the recording industry.
