name is Tony Johansen. I am an artist. I like art and science and
poetry and books and history and technology and lots more besides.
Every day I am excited by the marvelous things I see in this wonderful
world and beyond. I love the Internet for giving me access to so much.
I am like a sponge for wondrous things or things that make me wonder. This site is really just a
scrapbook. Being on the web, however, means being able to share the

Alicia Keys has made only 4 albums yet all have been number one hits on the Billboard charts, selling more than 41 million copies. The last 3 debuted at the top spot, equalling the record for consecutive recordings. She has been compared to Nina Simone or Arethra Franklin. Her last album has been described as reminiscent of the great Dionne Warwick at her best. Alicia Keys has already won 9 Grammy Awards, 11 Billboard Music Awards and 3 American Music Awards. As I Am was released in November 2007, it has gained yet another crop of Grammy Award nominations in 2008. It promises to be yet another successful year for this wonderful musician.
